ANU LAPPALAINEN received her veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Helsinki, Finland in 1986. After working for 10 years in small animal private practice she joined the College of Veterinary Medicine (later Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), and 1999 received a degree of Finnish specialist in small animal diseases.  From 2005 to 2017 Anu worked at the Diagnostic imaging unit, first as a resident and from 2009 as a senior lecturer. She completed her PhD thesis titled “Radiographic screening for hereditary skeletal diseases in dogs” in 2013, and was given the title of docent in small animal radiology in 2016. At the university Anu was involved in under- and post graduate teaching as well as clinical work and clinical research; teaching and research continue also in the future. Her special research interest is diagnostic imaging of canine hereditary skeletal disorders and computed tomography. She have worked as a  scrutineer for skeletal radiographs for the Finnish Kennel Club since 2007. 

 

 

HELI HYYTIÄINEN have graduated as a physiotherapist in January 2000, done her Finnish specialization studies in Animal Physiotherapy in 2003, after which she have worked only with animal clients. She graduated as Master of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012, and finalised her PhD in 2015. 12 years ago she started, and have since further developed, the physiotherapy department at the Helsinki University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, working with both, small animals and horses. Heli is also the consulting physiotherapist for two private clinics. In addition to the clinical work, she is actively involved in several research projects, does international lecturing on animal physiotherapy, teach at the Finnish Animal Physiotherapy specialization studies, and is also a honorary lecturer for the Liverpool University Master of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy programme.

 

 

PIRET SAVVI lõpetas Eesti Maaülikoolis veterinaarmeditsiini eriala 2007.a. Peale aastase kestvusega roteeruva internatuuri läbimist Maaülikooli väikeloomakliinikus töötas üldarstina, kuni 2011.a. avastas enda jaoks neuroloogia. Selle valdkonna puhul köidab Piretit eelkõige süsteemsus ja patsiendile lähenemise loogika. Piretil on olnud õnne olla kaasatud murrangulisel ajal, kui Maaülikooli kliinikus alustati MRT uuringutega ja sellest ajast saati on kujutav diagnostika talle südamelähedane. Neuroloogiaga seotud kirurgia sunnib nihutama tema jaoks enda piire ja pakub rahulolu maksimaalsest pingutusest.  2018.aastast alates täidab Piret Maaülikooli väikeloomakliiniku peaarsti kohuseid. Ta peab oluliseks pidevat teadmiste täiendamist läbi erinevate kursuste ja koolituste ning järjepidevat teadmiste edasiandmist tudengeid ja nooremarste juhendades ning julgustades. Üle kõige hindab Piret head koostööd kolleegidega.  

MARTI LASN, loomaarst aastast 1994. Peamiseks tegevussuunaks ortopeediliste patsientide diagnostika ja ravi Pärnu Väikeloomakliinikus ja EriVetis. EKL usladusarst düsplaasiahinnangute andmises. ESVOT liige.

 

 

KAMIL TOMSA was born in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic and completed his studies of veterinary medicine in 1995 at the Veterinary and pharmaceutical University (VFU) in Brno, Czech Republic. After a short post-gradual study at the Radiology Dept. of VFU, Brno he entered a regular residency program in Internal Medicine at Small Animal Clinic of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He got his board-certification (ECVIM-CA) in 2002 in Dublin, while working at the Small Animal Medicine at University of Georgia, USA. He was the Head of Internal Medicine Dept. at one of the largest small animal clinics in Switzerland, EnnetseeKlinik für Kleintiere, in Cham and Hünenberg, Switzerland for 14 years. Now he works for VETtrust AG (Swiss veterinary chain) as well part-time on his own account, providing internal medicine and imaging services (endoscopy,> ultrasound) for various practices. Kamil Tomsa lectures regularly on various topics in Internal Medicine, with special focus on urinary tract disease, hematology and endocrinology. He lives in Switzerland.

JOHN REMNANT (BVSc CertAVP DipECBHM MRCVS FHEA) is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Farm Animal Health and Production at the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. He worked in mixed and farm animal practice in the Southwest of the UK before moving to Nottingham in 2011 to undertake a Residency in Dairy Herd Health and Production. John holds the European Diploma in Bovine Health Management and is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Cattle Health and Production, he is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. John has wide ranging clinical interests in the field of dairy herd health, he has published papers on both lameness and reproduction in dairy herds.

RIHARDS ČERŅEVSKIS (DVM)
Current position: Teaching assistant in veterinary anaesthesiology in Estonian University of Life Sciences.
Personal statement:
First DVM in the Latvian Republic, whose basic employment is veterinary anesthesiology.
Main achievements: organisation and founding of veterinary anaesthesiology in LLU VMF.
Graduated Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in June 2014. Received theoretical and practical training in companion animal anaesthesiology in the Center of Veterinary Diagnostics and Animal Hospital, Tallinn (Estonia) under the supervision of DVM Alexander Semjonov. Afterward underwent practical training in companion and farm animal anaesthesia in Liege University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Belgium) under supervision of Dr. Charlotte Sandersen, DVM, PhD, Dip. ECEIM, Dip. ECVAA (European veterinary specialist in anesthesia and analgesia). From 2015 started to give lectures on veterinary anaesthesiology and pharmacology (NSAID, corticosteroids, neurotropic drugs, GI system affecting drugs, fluids) in Latvia. From 2016 chosen to a position of veterinary anesthetist in the veterinary clinic of Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technologies. During past 4 years enriched knowledge and practical skills in various seminars and conferences. Also got reach experience in various private practices. Always ready to answer and help in the area of competence.

 

 

 

 

JAMES PATRICK CRILLY (MA VetMB CertAVP DipECSRHM MRCVS, Larkmead Veterinary Group, Cholsey, Oxfordshire, UK)
James Patrick Crilly graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2010. After a short period of charity work in North Africa, he worked in mixed practice in the Scottish Highlands. He undertook a residency in farm animal health and production (sheep) at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh 2013-2015. He gained his RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and became a Diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management in 2016. He currently works in first opinion large animal practice in southern England and is a member of the committee of the Sheep Veterinary Society.

KATRIN TÄHEPÕLD -  loomaarst ja lambakasvatusspetsialist. Lammaste juurde jõudis Katrin ülikooli ajal, kui raha hakkas nappima ja pakuti võimalust minna Norra poegimisajaks appi. Mõeldud-tehtud. Ja sealt kogu asi alguse sai. Aasta pärast seda toimus sama asi Inglismaal ja viimase ülikooli aasta lõpus sattus Katrin Karulasse Ants Kuksi ja Liilia Tali juurde lambalauta elama. Katrin ütleb, et laudast on ta välja saanud, aga lammastest ja kitsedest pole siiski suutnud loobuda.

 

 

 

 

 

MERIT VILLEMSON-KAVAK on lõpetanud Eesti Põllumajandusülikooli loomaarsti eriala 1998 aastal. Samast aastast alates on Merit töötanud väikeloomade arstina Viljandis Männimäe Loomakliinikus. Meritil on sügavam huvi väikeloomade kardioloogia ja kujutava diagnostika alal. Ta on abielus ja kahe lapse ema.

MERLE TOOM lõpetas Maaülikooli veterinaarmeditsiini eriala 2007 aastal, mille järgselt läbis ka aastase roteeruva internatuuri EMÜ väikeloomakliinikus. 2013 aastal suundus ta õppima Uus-Meremaale Massey ülikooli õppekliinikusse, kus sai töötada mitmete kujutava diagnostika ning neuroloogia residentide ja spetsialistide käe all, mis kinnistas veelgi tema huvi antud valdkonna vastu. Merle on end täiendanud mitmetel ESAVS kujutava diagnostika ja neuroloogia kursustel ning lisaks käinud end täiendamas ka välisülikoolides. EMÜs tegeleb Merle lisaks kliinilisele tööle (sisehaigused ning neuroloogia)  ka üliõpilaste juhendamisega eelkõige kliinilises praktikas ja kujutavas diagnostikas.

 

 

 

 

ANN MARI ANUPÕLD on loomaarst, lamba- ja veisekasvatus konsulent. Ann Mari on lõpetanud Viini veterinaaria ülikooli aastal 2014, spetsialiseerudes mäletsejatele. Kohe pärast ülikooli lõpetamist asutas ta oma loomakliiniku Piirsalus, Läänemaal. Juba esimesel tööaastal sai Ann Marile selgeks et ravimise asemel eelistab ta teha ennetavat tööd - harida loomapidajaid ja aidata neil loomade elukeskkonda parendada. Nüüdseks on lammaste karjatervishoiust kujunenud suur osa tema tööst. Ala milles Ann Mari on ennast aastate jooksul harinud ja täiendanud nii Eestis kui ka välismaal, praktikate ja koolituste käigus.  

MAARJA TALI on Eesti Abi- ja Teraapialoomi Kaasavate Organisatisoonide Liidu ning Eesti Abi- ja Teraapiakoerte Ühingu juhatuse liige, teraapiakoeratiimide kohtunik ja vabatahtlik koerajuht. Alates 2013.aastast on ta keskendunud loomi kaasavate sekkumiste kui valdkonna teaduspõhisele ning professionaalsele arendamisele Eestis. Viis aastat praktilist kogemust, rahvusvahelist koostööd ning erialaseid koolitusi on Maarjast teinud kaasatavate loomade heaolu ja valdkonna akadeemilise hariduse ning standardite eest kõneleja.
